With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Nelson (West Warwick, Rhode Island), born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on April 9, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Martin E. Nelson and Olive B. Nelson (Joyal). He is survived by : his wife Alana J. Nelson (Louzon) of Exeter; his children, Erin K. O'Toole of Rochester, NY, Sean P. O'Toole of Nagoya, Peter M. Nelson of Cranston, RI and Douglas E. Nelson of West Warwick, RI; and his cousin Claudette Martin (Joyal). He is also survived by six grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home (659 E Greenwich Ave, West Warwick, RI 02893). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at the Ri Veterans Cemetery (301 S County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822-9712).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at http://www.alz.org.
