He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Esther M. Gauvin (List); his parents, Joseph F. Gauvin and Sonia V. Gauvin (Millette); and his children, Philip J. Gauvin, Jr., Michael Gauvin, Pepé, Madison and Cameron Gauvin.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Potvin-Quinn Funeral Home (45 Curson St, West Warwick, RI 02893). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Church - W. W. (70 Church St, West Warwick, RI 02893).

He enjoyed trips to the casino and golf outings whether it be a charity event or a day on the links with his two sons.
