He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard A. Townsend and Floris P. Townsend (Allen); his sisters, Roxanne Orvek and Kathleen Rawleigh; and his nephew Richard Saltsman.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Townsend (Sylvia); his sisters, Patricia Hutches of Orville, OH and Peggy Sue Ives; his brother-in-law Carl Brown of Savona, NY; his niece Melissa Sanford (Lance Traynham) of Orville, OH; his nephews, Raymond Combs (Jessica) of Savona, NY and Brandon Hutches of Orville, OH; his stepdaughters, Michelle Altruda (Matthew) of Lincoln, RI and Kelly Salmons of North Kingstown, RI; and his grandchildren, Domenic, Madison, Jake and Luke.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home (659 E Greenwich Ave, West Warwick, RI 02893). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
