In loving memory of Russell E. Flanagan of West Warwick, Rhode Island, who departed this world on November 5, 2025 at the age of 76. Russell leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Flanagan and Helen Flanagan (Clarke); and his siblings, John "Jack" Flanagan and Kathleen Fritsche. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia J. Flanagan (Hadfield); his sons, Russell Flanagan II (Sonja) of Johnston, Shawn Flanagan (Danielle) of Coventry and Ryan Flanagan of South Kingstown; and his grandsons, Christopher Flanagan of Union City, NJ and Nicholas Flanagan of Johnston.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home (659 E Greenwich Ave, West Warwick, RI 02893). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Warwick Central Baptist Church (3270 Post Rd, Warwick, RI 02886). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery (1 Rhode Island Ave, Johnston, RI 02919).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Russell's memory to the Warwick Central Baptist Church would be appreciated.

“Russell was always the kind of person who if you needed anything he would gladly do what he could to help. He took great pride in his home and family and would always be out working on his yard. Our children were always welcome in his home and spent many hours playing together. My children speak fondly of him and we all give our sympathy and condolences to his family.”
