It is with sadness that the passing of Claire Sexton of Westerly, Rhode Island is shared. Claire passed away on October 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Claire will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Claire by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Claire is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Claire’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her husband George R. Sexton; and her children, Diane C. Sexton, George R. Sexton, Jr. and Kevin J. Sexton. She is survived by: her daughter Colleen Sexton Lynch (Charles Lynch, Jr.); her daughter-in-law Melanie Sexton; and her sister Patricia Dessaulles. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Pius X Church (44 Elm St, Westerly, RI 02891).
