With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Courtenay Raymond McKelvy of Westerly, Rhode Island, who passed away on November 11, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Bartolomeo Berenato and Elizabeth Lenore Wright Berenato. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Raymond (Betsy), Douglas Barton Raymond, Clark Merriam Raymond (Patricia) and Abigail Raymond McNear (Jeffrey); her grandchildren, Robert (Kiley Renee), Clarkie and Courtenay Raymond; her children, Margaret, Zoe Raymond, Madeline and Jamie McNear; her stepchildren, Mary Jean and Michael McKelvy; her stepgrandchildren, Tuesdai Hill Pifer (Brian), Sarah Stevenson Burdick (Joshua) and Andrew Stevenson (Claire); her great grandchildren, Lilian Rose, Savannah Raymond and Theodore Raj; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Haley Pifer, Brooks and Benjamin Burdick.

Living independently, Courtenay managed through the Covid restrictions by staying in touch on telephone and online with family and friends, reading and keeping up with current events.

After losing James to Alzheimer's Disease, Courtenay moved to Connecticut to be near family.
