With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Gordon of Westerly, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid John farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For John is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Gordon and Janet Gordon. He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca M. Belanger (Jarraid) and Hillary A. Goulet (Simon); his grandsons, Otto and Owen Goulet; his close friend Diane Dauphinais; and his siblings, Natalie Pukas, David Gordon and Joan Dias. He is also survived by one niece and several nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home (59 Spruce St, Westerly, RI 02891). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Christ Episcopal Church (7 Elm St, Westerly, RI 02891).
