He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ann Szymurski (Joyce); and his parents, Pauline Szymurski (Kupis) and Joseph Szymurski Sr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Heery (Joseph) of Old Saybrook, CT and Kristen McKenna of Old Saybrook, CT; his sister Stephanie Church (Raymond) of East Lyme, CT; his grandchildren, Lauren Fraser (Austin), Jack McKenna and Sean McKenna; and his great grandchild Nellie Fraser. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St Jude Hospital.
