She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Gley and Agnes Gley; her son Stephen Sylvia; her grandson Joshua Sylvia; and her sister Frances Satterlee.

She is survived by: her children, Theresa Gentile (Gustavo Santos), John Sylvia (Tammie Sutton), Edward F. Sylvia, Jr. (Ana), Deborah Sylvia (Mike Collins), Manuel Sylvia and David Sylvia (Debbie); and her sisters, Cathi Corlies and Eva Lowell. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
