She was predeceased by: her parents, George Birchell and Olive Birchell of Pequot Trail, Stonington.; her former husband Eugene D Schmitt of New York; her brothers, David A and Robert B Birchell; and her children, Linda Ann Prachniak (Frank) and Eugene Dennis Schmitt.
She is survived by: her daughter Zallee Rosso (Robert) of Westerly; her grandchildren, Robin Panciera (Quento) of Stonington, Thyra A Fusaro, Trisha Jean Rosso of Westerly, Stephen Prachniak of Stonington, Karen Erikson (Arthur) of Salem, CT, Heather and Ashley Schmitt of Ledyard, CT; her great grandchildren, Jamie-Anne Lord (Ben), Joshua M Fusaro, Kyle, Lindy, Katie Erikson, Mya, Helena and Demetri Schmitt; and her great great grandchildren, Paige, Leah Fusaro, Maggie and George Lord. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews and special extended family.
