It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret M. Way of Westerly, Rhode Island, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, we take solace in the memories we hold dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Margaret may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by : her parents, James E. Blackwood and Marie C. Blackwood (Negri); and her husband Edward C. Way. She is survived by : her grandchildren, Ashley M. Barker, Jacob E. Pont of Pawcatuck, CT and Michael Letendre of Texas; her great grandchild Cosmo Letendre; her brother James E. Blackwood, Jr.; her nephew James E. Blackwood (Jami F. Blackwood); and her niece Marie N. Blackwood (Jeri F. Blackwood) of Rhode Island.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Sebastian Cemetery (12 Cobblestone Ln, Westerly, RI 02891).
