Audrey Raden wrote a sympathy message

“Marvin was my therapist for many years—in fact, I was his last patient. He was a brilliant man, compassionate and insightful and he got me through the worst time of my life. When my book came out, he was the first person I mentioned in my acknowledgments. I will always remember him with affection and respect. I offer you the love of a stranger, Audrey Raden”
