With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael J. McKernan (Westerly, Rhode Island), who passed away on January 30, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley M. McKernan, (Kenyon) and Joseph B. McKernan, Sr.; and his brother Joseph B. McKernan, Jr. of Pawcatuck. He is survived by: his siblings, Janis L. McKernan-Markoff of Blackstone, MA, Jeffrey B. McKernan (Donna) of Concord, NC, Jay B. McKernan (Gail) of Groton, CT, Jody L. Roby of Westerly, RI and Jill L. LaPiana (Fred) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his sister-in-law Irene McKernan of Pawcatuck; his friends, Stephen and Lisa Johnson of Exeter, RI; and his niece Holly McKernan (Michael). He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews and 28 great nieces and nephews.
