He is survived by: his wife Lenore Thomas Stepanishen (Lee); his sons, Kent (Kristen) of West Hartford, CT and Mark (Erica) of Franklin, TN; his grandchildren, Violet, Sylvie and Lukas; and his sister Elaine Stepanishen of Hamden, CT..
He took particular pride in the graduate and doctoral students he advised, celebrating their contributions to academia, research and industry.
