He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth A. "Betty Ann" (Quinn); and his parents, Joseph O'Keefe and Jeanette O'Keefe. He is survived by: his sister Betty; his children, Kathleen Maggs (O'Keefe) of Westerly, Michael (Erica) of Ashaway and James O'Keefe of Ashaway; his grandchildren, Chelsea, Sarah, Jacob, Thomas and Kiley; and his great grandchildren, Hendrix and Lennon.
