She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Albert Fontaine and Aurore Rondeau Fontaine; her children, Normand J. Messier Jr. (Carolyn), John A. Messier Sr. (Mildred), Mark A. Messier (Anna-Liisa) and Joyce M. Welsh (Edward); her grandchildren, Kirsten Messier, Jeffrey Messier (Stacy), John Messier Jr. (Anya), Jason Messier, Justin Messier, Eric Messier (Heather) and Kevin Messier; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Sean, Brienna, Caden, Lyla, Gabriel, Maja, Kaja and Jacob; and her sisters, Claire Martin and Alice Pothier. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
