With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Timothy J. VanWormer Sr. (Westerly, Rhode Island), born in Providence, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 21, 2026. In the vast expanse of eternity, Timothy shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Timothy farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his spouse Lynn E. Christie-VanWormer (Vine); his parents, Harold VanWormer and Lillian VanWormer; and his siblings, Tommy and Mary Ellen VanWormer.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn M. Potter (Brian) of Montana, Mitchell W. Christie of North Carolina, Karen L. Alter (Peter) of Rhode Island, Timothy J. VanWormer, Jr. (Jena) of Rhode Island, Robert A. Christie (Rachel) of Connecticut and Heather E. Beauchman (Jason) of Rhode Island; and his brother Bill VanWormer of Rhode Island. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
