She was predeceased by : her father Frank "Gus" Dyer; her daughter Stephanie Pewsey; and her siblings, John Viera, Barbara Brown, Ralph Pewsey and Donna Pewsey.

She is survived by : her mother Ruth Bennett Dyer (Walters); her husband Jim; her children, James E McElroy V (Michelle McElroy) of Pawtucket and Patricia McElroy of Pawtucket; her grandchildren, Zachary McElroy of Pawtucket, Joshua Anderson of Pawtucket, Kaitlyn Lois McElroy of Virginia and Alisha H. McElroy of Pawtucket; and her siblings, Lea Pewsey and Steven Pewsey.
