We announce the death of Bette M Stone of Abbeville, South Carolina, who passed away on August 5, 2026, at the age of 90. Bette will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Davis Gene Stone; her parents, Robert Ellie and Ida Mae Howe Montgomery; her brothers, Joe (Gladys), Fred (Jeannine) and Harold Montgomery; her parents-in-law, Lewis and Roxie Stone; and her brother-in-law Joe Ray.
She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Terrie H. Montgomery (Harold) and Ann S. Ray; her niece Leigh Ann Brown Taylor; her nephews, Mark, Craig, Scott and Johnny Montgomery; her close friend Sharon Hughes; her family, Pat and Dena Hodge; Lisa Simpson, Tony and Barbara Consorte.
