It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Newton Todd of Abbeville, South Carolina, who passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Carter Todd; her parents, Carl Newton and Mattie Burns Whitman Newton; and her brothers, Jimmy Newton and Carl Julian Newton.
She is survived by: her children, Regina Lynn Todd, David J. Todd (Becky) of Abbeville and John E. Todd (Teresa) of Bowman, Georgia; her brother Ricky Newton of Abbeville; and her grandchildren, Eddie, Stacy, Trish and Isabella.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home (302 N Main St, Abbeville, SC 29620). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens (2699 SC-72, Abbeville, SC 29620).
