He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Dawson and Sara Ferguson Dawson; his son Jimmy Dawson; his sister Sara Ann Cannon; and his great grandchild Barrett Dawson.
He is survived by: his wife Carole; his son Stacey Dawson (Andrea) of Abbeville; his grandchildren, Mandy Nettles (Justin), Coty Dawson (Lyndsie), Sydney Dawson (Lewis Cowart) and Zach Dawson; his great grandchild Gatlyn; and his pet Bubba.
