She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas Junior Smith; and her parents, Jim Kirkland and Hassie Rogers Kirkland. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Michael "Jay" Gilliam, Jr. and Christine Gilliam Kimsey (Jeff) of Abbeville. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home (208 S Main St, Abbeville, SC 29620). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chandler Chapel of Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home (208 S Main St, Abbeville, SC 29620).
