He is survived by: his children, Crystal Spires Wiley (Darris), Steven Spires and Michelle McMurtury; his brother Danny Ray Spires (Vicki); his granddaughter Mallory Wiley'Mal-Mal' (Conner Sanders); his nephew Shane Spires (Amy); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Shaney Young (Brant), Clary Spires and Danni Spires; and his close friend Ruby Johnson.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Abbeville - Harris Funeral Home (302 N Main St, Abbeville, SC 29620). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at the Spires Family Cemetery (1943 SC-71, Abbeville, SC 29620).
