He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schaffner and Rosa Horisberger Schaffner. He is survived by: his wife Cecile Margaret Cleary Schaffner; his children, Christian Andrew Schaffner (Whitney) of Marietta, GA and Caitlin Claire Schaffner of Charleston, SC; his siblings, Urs Schaffner (Nelly) and Rita; and his grandchildren, Palmer Schaffner, Lawton Schaffner and Mary Claire Schaffner.
