He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Leonard and Theresa LaRose Bessette; and his brother Reginald Bessette. He is survived by: his wife Ann Marie Bessette; his children, Andrea Clutts (Jasen), Karen Henderson (Jay), Joseph Bessette (Jessica) and Theresa Leonardi (John Joseph III); his grandchildren, Samuel, Greta, Sawyer, Shepherd, Julia, Jordan and John Joseph IV; and his siblings, Ronald Bessette (Sherry), Dennis Bessette (Bernadette), Jeffrey Bessette and Carol Zuccaro (late Edward).
