We bid farewell to Betty McQueen Holloway of Aiken, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 25, 2025 at the age of 94. Betty touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Betty's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Betty's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may she find rest in the embrace of eternity.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jacquelina Adams (Tommy) of Bennettsville, SC and Valarie Norwood of Houston, TX; her sister-in-law Nancy Ellerbee; and her aunt Lula Brown. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cumberland AME Church (111 Kershaw St SE, Aiken, SC 29801). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at the Holloway Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made payable to Cumberland AME Church, PO Box 1091, Aiken, SC 29802.
