He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles E. Simons, Jr. and Jean K. Simons; his daughter Whitney Simons; the mother of his child Elizabeth Simons (Betsy); and his siblings, Paul K. Simons (Martha), Richard B. Simons and Jean S. Smith (Ian). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and a great niece and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hitchcock Woods Foundation and First Tee of Aiken.
