He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gardner and Virginia Gardner; his sister Paula Daniel; and his aunt Myrtle Turner. He is survived by: his wife Jane Wilson Gardner of North Augusta; his children, Karis Gardner Dobey (D'Vaughn) of Atlanta, Georgia and Christopher Jared Gardner (Janna) of Evans, Georgia; his grandchildren, Saniya, Drayden Dobey of Atlanta, London and Sydney Gardner of Evans, Georgia; his brother Vernon Gardner (Bettie) of Aiken; and his nieces, Aleyah Gardner, Brittany Cauthen (Chislon) of Aiken and Dr. Mary Ellen Burton of Anaconda, Montana. He is also survived by loving relatives, dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home (126 Fairfield St SE, Aiken, SC 29801). The lying in state was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (4063 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Warrenville, SC 29822). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
