He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Mason and Celia Mason; and his brother Daniel Mason. He is survived by: his wife Wendylyn "Wendy" Wendy Mason; his children, Greg Mason of New Ellenton, SC and Lynn Elaine Platt (Bryan) of Aiken, SC; his brother Ralph Mason (Peggy) of Greenwood, SC; his grandchildren, Ashley Platt, Julie Platt and Leary Platt; and his great grandchildren, Kassiah, Leah, Jack, Jaycie and Oakley.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Southlawn Cemetery (4524 Whiskey Rd, Aiken, SC 29803).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, honoring David's generous spirit and his dedication to helping others.
