Diane Schmidt Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on November 10, 2025, Diane Schmidt (Aiken, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Allan A. Schmidt; her parents, Joseph Michael and Dorothy; and her daughter-in-law Dr. Clarissa Schmidt. She is survived by: her children, David Schmidt of Beech Island, SC, Peggy Desmarais of Aiken, SC, Dr Michael Schmidt (Beverly) of Moultrie, GA and Penny Benedict (Donnie) of Williston, SC.; her grandchildren, Marshall Gunnels, Brandee Poole (Sheldon), Bobby Desmarais (Summerlin), Haley Gunnels and Caleb Schmidt; her great grandchildren, Natalee, Emmalee and Lewis Poole; and her brother Joseph Dolejs (Linda) of Minnesota.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, located at 961 Trai Ridge Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
