Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Edward Lee Jones of Aiken, South Carolina, born in Beech Mountain, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 78, on December 21, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Judd Jones and Vena McGuire Jones of Banner Elk, NC.; and his brothers, Lane, Harley and Alfred Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Dianne Stewart Jones; his children, Barry, James W. Jones, Jason Jones, Karla Holdren (Jon), Christy Jones and Leigh Anne Jones; and his brother Dickie G. Jones. He is also survived by 6 step children; 23 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorials be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church Building Fund 2094 Columbia Hwy N Aiken, SC 29805.

“Hello Diane. I’m so sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. I was lucky to play drums in Ed’s Southern Country band in and around the CSRA in the mid-80’s and 90’s. I have fond memories of those years and cherish the memories of Ed’s friendship from then until now. I enjoyed renewing our friendship since returning to Aiken in recent years. May he Rest In Peace.
