He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Patrick Stone and Rosella Herron Courtney; his son Joseph Wayne Stone; and his brothers, Roy, Teddy, Carl, Jr., Thomas, Joseph and Daniel Stone.
He is survived by: his wife Julia "Judy" Gomillion Stone; his children, Frankie B. Stone, Jr. (Sharise), James Patrick "Pat" Stone and Mary Elizabeth "Becky" Holtzendorff (William); and his siblings, Jerry Stone, Jack Stone and Sara Mae Parrish. He is also survived by six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
