He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ann Podlenski Riel; his children, Joanne Riel Smith (Randy) of Aiken, SC and Bruce Francis Riel (Karen) of Canton, GA; his grandchildren, Caroline S. Redd (Timothy), Catherine S. Lucas (Kevin), Matthew R. Smith (Harleigh), Margaret Riel O'Grady (Jimmy) and Andrew Francis Riel (Grace); his great grandchildren, Sailey, Sullivan, Emerson, Carlin, Harper, Palmer, Turner, Avery and Bridgette; and his brother Douglas Riel.
