With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Brice Gray Sr. in Aiken, South Carolina, born in Bamberg, South Carolina, who passed away on February 18, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John D. Gray and Beaulah Bodiford Snell; his former life partner Shrildia Gray; his children, Tony Gray and Shrildia Darlene Youmans; and his grandson Troy A. Gray.

He is survived by : his wife Oretta D. Gray of Barnwell, SC; his son James B. Gray Jr. (Alison) of Barnwell, SC; and his siblings, Bobby Gray (Anne) of Jonesboro, TN and Delores Rivers (Dave) of Lancaster, SC. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Animal Advocates of Barnwell.
