He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Marion, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Foraker (Ward); his wife Patricia Louise Elwood of Aiken, SC; his children, Shelly Foraker of Tulsa, OK, Connie (Donald Heslop), James Foraker, III of Wichita, KS, Lindsy (Jerry VanNess), Dustin (Heather Foraker) and Jesse Foraker (Christa Meeker); his grandchildren, Justin, Derek, Heather, Steven, Cordelia, Adelina, Nicholas, Ethan and Matthew; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Walker and Ryker; and his sisters, Kathy (Allen Ivey) and Tizzie Foraker of Wichita.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Miles Funeral Service (4001 E 9th Ave, Winfield, KS 67156).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to any Shriners Children's Hospital. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
