He was predeceased by: his parents, John Willie and Gladys Randolph Hutto; his son John Jesse Hutto; his great grandchildren, Jesse Dalton and Winston Clark Gibson; and his siblings, George Bryant, Eva Bridges, Linda Perez and Helen Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah "Debbie" Miller Hutto; his children, James Robert "Jimmy" Hutto, Jr. (Michele), Melinda Angel (Doug) and Amanda Cain (late Jesse); and his sister Debra McMillan (Ronnie). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
