He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Ileta Richardson and Marshall Pickett; and his brother William Pickett. He is survived by: his wife Carol M. Jantzen; and his daughter Margaret Pickett (Rob O'Neill). He is also survived by three grandchildren.
