With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John C. Zella Sr. (Aiken, South Carolina), who passed away on June 27, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Zella and Olive Gallant Zella; his wife Janet Dowdall Zella; his son John C. Zella, Jr.; and his siblings, Carol Wood, Barbara O'Brien, Shirley Coughlin and Alfred Zella.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Shore (Paul) of Aiken, SC, Gail Lancaster (Neil) of Weymouth and Robert D. Zella, Sr. of New Ellenton, SC; his daughter-in-law Cathy Flashman of West Virginia; his grandchildren, Robert Zella, Jr., Ryan Zella, Michael Zella (Karli), Brandi Zella, Sage and Alicia Lancaster; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Aubrey, Matthew and Evelyn; and his siblings, Doreen Eaton of Milton and William Zella of Hull.
