He is survived by: his wife Nancy Porter Thomas; his children, David Michael Holmes, Christian Holmes and Crystal Thomas (Cody Beard); his sisters, Kathy Bell Thomas and Peggy Moore; his grandchildren, Grace Douglas, Matthew Garr, Emma Wetmore and Megan Holmes; his niece Katherine Keith (Danny); and his son Jimmy Thomas (Sally). He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
