With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John William Anderson (Aiken, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 25, 2025 at the age of 71. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Allen Anderson Sr. and Marjorie Hall Anderson; his son Homer Allen Anderson; his brother Robert Allen Anderson Jr. (Stephanie) of Aiken, SC; and his great grandchild Angel Paige Gregory.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Conner Anderson; his children, Crystal Grady (David) of Union, SC, Cynthia Caldwell (Martin) of Union, SC, Lynn Taylor of Aiken, SC., Stephen of Aiken, Timothy Taylor of Aiken and Cameron Anderson; his grandchildren, Dustin Grady (Kayla) of Union, SC., Devin of Union, SC., Makayla Grady of Union, SC., Makenzie Edwards (Storm) of Union, SC., Sierra Gregory (Jacob) of Union, SC., Bonnie Steadman (Zack) of Union, SC., Cassie of Union, SC. and Chloe Steadman of Union, SC.; his sisters, Rinda Richardson of Aiken, SC. and Shelia Anderson of Aiken, SC.; his siblings-in-law, Wanda Lucas of Ga, Connie Anderson of Ga and Thomas Amerson (Jessica) of Camden, SC.; and his sisters, Carol Patton (Mike) of Aiken, SC, Tina Boatwright (Jay) of Spring Lake, NC and Michelle Sarka (Karl) of Aiken, SC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calendar Redds Branch Baptist Church (390 Redds Branch Rd, Aiken, SC 29801). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Calendar Redds Branch Baptist Church Cemetery (390 Redds Branch Rd, Aiken, SC 29801).
