He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Herron Moulton and Stacey Herron; his sisters, Margaret Murphy and Shirley Herron; his grandchildren, Kara Herron, Dystany Easler (Gina), Cody Storey, Josh Storey, Tyreek Lockhart, Jasemyne Lockhart and Lydia Lockhart; and his close friend Elizabeth Sparks. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; extended family.
