He was predeceased by: his parents, L. D. Stallings Sr. and Annie Bell Craig Stallings; and his siblings, Sumpter, Arthur, Ida, Sarah and Esther.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Simmons; his children, Karen, Kevin (Wendy), Teisha, KaShawn (Dorcase) and Ayana (Andrew); his daughter-in-law Diane; his grandchildren, Jared (Amy), LaTesha, Chantel, Shakiera, Epiphany, Jamil (Nayanda), Shanice, Josiah, Juwan, Sharif and Divinia; his great grandchildren, Danny, Jaden, Jason, Jace, Josiah Jr., Ja'Leigh, Mason, Madison, N'zinga and Jade; his aunt Frances; and his siblings, Essie Mae, Geneva (Jarthur), Marion (Mildred), Elaine (Kenneth), Johnette and Karen. He is also survived by his daughter as well a host of other family and friends.
