Marion Cranford Simmons Obituary

She was predeceased by: her husband Charles G. Simmons; her grandfather George Washington Cranford; her parents, Turner S. Cranford and Alma Blackshear Cranford (Charles Gordon Simmons, Sr.); her daughter-in-law Cynthia Simmons; and her sister Helen C. Menke.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Gordon Simmons, Jr. of Hilton Head, SC, Gary Wyndal Simmons of Aiken, SC, Kenneth Cranford Simmons of Conyers, GA and Joy Simmons Toohey (John) of Greenville, SC.; her grandchildren, Melanie, Scott, Gordon and Kendal; and her great grandchildren, Alexa, Alyssa, Gabriela, Kalebh, Seth, Tinsley, Monroe and Charlie.
A funeral service was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. John Methodist Church (104 Newberry St NW, Aiken, SC 29801). A burial was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (2648 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Graniteville, SC 29829).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. John Methodist Church in Marian's honor.
