It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Netter Williams Dawkins of Aiken, South Carolina, born in Edgefield, South Carolina, who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Netter Grey Williams and Allen Williams Sr.; her husband Samuel Bussey, Sr.; her siblings, Fannie Gilchrist, Alice Davis, Carolina Crafton, Ethel Kemp, Phunie Williams, John Williams and Allen Williams Jr.; and her stepdaughter Christine Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Lewis Dawkins of Aiken, SC, Angela Denise Ricks of Upper Marlboro, MD, Jennifer Carlene Blanco (Agustin) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Joann King (Alonzie) of Warner Robbins, GA and Juanita Brown (Andre) of Woodbridge, VA; her stepchildren, Samuel Bussey Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, Ronald Bussey of Atlanta, GA, Randolph Bussey (Kitty) of North Augusta, SC, Jacquelyn Johnson (Reginald) of Augusta, GA and Ellen Bussey of Santa Monica, CA; her grandchildren, James Pervis Carroll (Raven) of Aiken, SC, Santyana Maria Ribble (Kelly) of Stafford, VA, Ralph Edward Thomas Jr. (Tatyana) of Crofton, MD, Adrianna Nicole Ricks of Henrico, VA, Donovan Leon Ricks (Sarah) of Camden, SC, Tavares Brown of Woodbridge, VA and Stephen King of Warner Robbins, GA; her great grandchildren, Jayla Carroll, Johanna Carroll, Abbey Ribble, Kelly Ribble II, Ralph Thomas III (RJ), Miles Thomas, Valentino Ricks and Naomi Brown; her siblings, Willie Williams (Ella Ruth) of Aiken, SC, Lilie Mae Hardell of Augusta, GA and Christine Stepney of Edgefield, SC; and her sisters-in-law, Annie Mae Willliams of Trenton, SC and Gloria Williams of Aiken, SC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and sorrowing friends.
