He was predeceased by: his parents, W. C. Johnston and Wilma Lewis Johnston; and his former wife Sara Boyd Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Donna Walker Johnston of Aiken, SC; his daughters, Penny Conner (Chris), Amy Cooper (Marc) of Warrenville, SC, Heidi Bryant (Michael) of Edgefield, SC, April Danko (Lance) of North Augusta, SC and Amber Weeks (Rodney) of Hilda, SC; his siblings, William Johnston (Annette) of North Augusta, SC, Emma Collum, Diane Clary (Joe) of Warrenville, SC and Tony Johnston (Irma) of Brownsville, Texas; his grandchildren, Michael Bryant (Jessica), Jacob Bryant, Kelsey Bryant, Ethan Cooper, Olivia Cooper, Harrison Cooper, Hunter Danko (Delilah), Erin Frederick (Josh) and Abbie Grace Weeks; his great grandchildren, Aiden Bryant, Soren Bryant and Sylas Bryant; and his nieces, Kim Jones (Jackie) and Morgan Kinard (Riley).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Millbrook Baptist Church (223 S Aiken Blvd, Aiken, SC 29803). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
