He was predeceased by: his parents, William DeLorey and Emmie Lee Hudson DeLorey; and his brother Alex "Quacky" DeLorey. He is survived by: his daughter Cynthia Smoak; his former wife Gail Smith of Greenville, SC.; his girlfriend Mary Palacio of Grovetown, SC.; and his cousins, Ben Strange of Chapin, SC, Charles Strange of Easley, SC and Brenda Balentine of Blythewood, SC.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calendar Talatha Baptist Church (361 Talatha Church Rd, Aiken, SC 29803).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org), in support of those affected by the illness, in light of Ron's mother's battle with dementia.
