She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleburn Stokes and Eunice Redd Stokes; her former husband Gordon Eugene Carpentoer; her husband Kenneth W. Fulghum; her sons, Gordon Eugene Carpenter II and Curtis Toby Carpenter; her sisters, Kitty Williams, Daisy and Theresa Jackson; and her grandchildren, Bruce and Wess Houston.
She is survived by: her son Joe Carpenter; her siblings, Cleburn Stokes Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and Cortell; and her granddaughters, Marsha Sheldon and Sylvia Swearingen (Sam). She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and three additional great- great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church 2094 Columbia Hwy N., Aiken, SC 29805.
