He was predeceased by: his parents, Captain Lawrence and Christa Ehrke O'Neil; and his sisters, Diana Sherman, Kathy Black and Christa Hyman.

He is survived by: his children, Eddie O'Neil and Jennifer Leigh O'Neil; and his siblings, Shana O'Neil Sutphin (Joe), Sheila Reed, Patrick O'Neil (Robin) and Larry O'Neil (Laura). He is also survived by three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and his UPS family.
