He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine Woodward Burbage; his son Mark Burbage; his parents, James Olin Burbage and Essie Busbee Burbage; and his sisters, Pearl Posey, Odessa Corley, Florence Mundy and Vera Booth.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Herrington (Keith) of Graniteville and Robert Burbage of Ringold, GA; and his grandchildren, Nathan McIntyre, Natalie Keller, Summer Groomes and Brittany Burbage. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home (715 E Pine Log Rd, Aiken, SC 29803). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
