Phillip Russell Thompson Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phillip Russell Thompson (Alcolu, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 3, 2025 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Robert Thompson and Dorothy Russell Cuttino Thompson; and his brother David Hugh "Dickie" Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patty" Patterson Thompson; his children, Russell Thompson (Abbie Wostbrock) of Alcolu, Alexandra Thompson of Columbia, Hunter Thompson (Allena) of Sumter and Camella Thompson (Ethan Hutson) of Alcolu; his granddaughter Aribella Thompson; his siblings, Tommy Thompson of Alcolu, Luke Thompson of Alcolu, Sammy Thompson of Alcolu, John Thompson (Crystal) of Alcolu, Caroline Thompson of Easley, Thelma Easley (Richard) of Spartanburg, Effie Russell of Alcolu, Peggy Williams of Sumter and Theresa Black (Jim) of Greensboro, NC; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Thompson of Manning; and his nephew Benji Thompson (Sara) of Alcolu. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Harmony Presbyterian Church (1174 New Harmony Church Rd, Alcolu, SC 29001). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
